The Township of Guelph/Eramosa retains the firm of MacNaughton Hermsen Britton Clarkson Planning Ltd. as planning consultants.

The Committee of Adjustment is a judicial body that hears applications for minor variance under the Planning Act. This Township Committee is appointed by Council. Three members of the public are appointed for a term coinciding with the term of Council.

Land Division and Severances are the responsibility of the County of Wellington. The County of Wellington Land Division Committee hears applications for severances under the Planning Act. The members are appointed by the County of Wellington. The five members of the Committee are appointed by the County Council and consist of County Council members. The Township is a commenting agency to the Land Division applications.
