The mandate or objectives of the Committee is to take actions which would encourage the retention and expansion of industrial and commercial development within appropriate areas of the Township:
To ensure positive and sustainable growth and development.
To protect the Township's agricultural resource base and promote the continued strength of the agricultural industry / economy.
To create and maintain a healthy tax base.
To promote existing and future business within the Township and attract new jobs (including youth jobs).
To facilitate clean and dry industrial and commercial development. " To ensure the strengthening and long-term health of Rockwood's downtown.
