Municipal Election

WELCOME TO THE TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA'S 2010 MUNICIPAL ELECTION WEBSITE!

In October 2010, electors accross the Township will exercise their right to vote in the municipal election. Voting Day will take place on October 25, 2010.

Voters will cast their ballots in the 2010 Municipal Election for the following offices:

  • Mayor;
  • Township Councillors;
  • County Councillors;
  • Separate School Trustees; and
  • Public School Trustees.

Nomination period will commence on January 4, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. Nominations will be accepted from January 4, 2010 until September 9, 2010 during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). On the last day that nominations will be accepted, September 10, 2010, nominations must be submitted prior to 2:00 p.m. For further information please click on the link below.

Watch for your MPAC enumeration form in the mail! Please fill out and return this form to MPAC by June 1, 2010. The information provided on the form will be used to determine whether or not your name should be included on the Preliminary List of Electors, which will assist your muncipality in creating the final Voter's List for the 2010 Municipal Election.

2010 Summer Election Newsletter                          

Appointment of Representative (optional) The Voter's List is a list of eligible electors in the Township of Guelph/Eramosa. The Preliminary List of Electors (PLE), compiled by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) through their enumeration efforts aids the Township of Guelph/Eramosa in their preparation of the Voter's List and execution of Election Day. The Voter's List will be available not later than September 7, 2010. You will be able to check online to see if your name is on the Voter's List. Please return to this webpage for updates.

Withdrawal of Nomination  
To file a nomination the above noted required forms must be completed and submitted in person to the Township Clerk's Office prior to Friday, September 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.  
PLEASE NOTE: Any documents which require signature before a commissioner must not be signed until filed at the Clerk's Office to ensure they are witnessed and signed by a commissioner.
