Family Fun Day at the Royal Distributing Athletic Performance Centre


The Big Chill - Rockwood Family Fun Day

February 15-16, 2015

Rockwood will be offering a Family Fun Day on February 15th and 16th, 2015.  This date is the statutory holiday.  The event will feature a free hoot and howl hike on the 15th in the evening followed by a campfire.  On February 16 there will be Skating on the Mill Pond, day time snow shoe guided hike, campfire, winter survival skills seminar, interpretive hike for families (animal tracks etc.), outdoor pavilion with patio heaters for eating / warming zone, and a food vendor that will warm up your stomach.   Parking will be in the large lots close to the pavilion and people will access the pond by walking down path to beach or by taking a horse drawn shuttle to the end of the beach. Barriers will be installed to keep people in the tested area of ice and away from dam where there is open water.  Event would run from aprox  6:30pm until 8:30pm on Feb 15th and 9am until dusk on February 16th.

The local fire department will be attending the event with their fire truck.

Eden Mills Writers’ Festival

A nationally acclaimed and widely respected literary event, which takes place on the banks of the Eramosa River. Audiences of several thousand “come for the words” each year to enjoy readings and to visit Publishers’ Way, where publishers, booksellers, magazine producers and non-profit groups come to showcase their wares.

Fall Wellington Rural Romp

Rockwood Parade of Lights

Thursday December 10 (at sundown)
Bundle up and enjoy a special evening with family and friends! Each year more than 200 farmers, their families and friends ride on floats in an amazing night time parade. Come to see antique and modern tractors and farm equipment adorned with lights and holiday decorations!
