Christmas in the Park 2021

Let's all GET together and celebrate the joys of the season with an outdoor Christmas event at Rockmosa Park in Rockwood, Ontario (120 Rockmosa Drive, N0B 2K0). There will be:

- 50+ Artisan vendors
- Live Christmas music
- Food trucks
- Photos With Santa (1-4pm only! $5 per photo with 50% proceeds going to East Wellington Community Services - CASH ONLY!!)
- Holiday DIY workshops (See below for more details & how to register.)
- Children's activities
- Christmas lights and décor
... and so much more!

East Wellington Community Services will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items and gift cards for local families in need. Lola & Link has generously donated a limo to fill for EWCS!

This event will be an outdoor event so please dress according to weather conditions.

10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Children’s Christmas Book Reading with Author and Craft (No charge- registration required.)

12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Over 50 confirmed vendors, Food Trucks, Children’s Christmas Button Making Station, Farmers Market, DIY Workshops

12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Fresh Greenery Table Centre Piece with Royal City Nursery (registration and fee required.)

12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Live Christmas Carolers

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Photos with Santa ($5 per photo with 50% of the proceeds going to East Wellington Community Services - CASH ONLY!)

2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Drop and Shop child care with Rockwood Camps (registration and fee required.)

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Meet Olaf from Frozen and Chase from Paw Patrol

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Live Christmas Music with the Salvation Army Band

4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Holiday Wreath Making with Wellington County Museum and Archives (registration and fee required.)

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Live Entertainment - Jason White Trio

6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Christmas Appetizers with Chef Emily Richards (registration and fee required.)

7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Live Entertainment- The Dover Fishnettes

Please note that all COVID-19 protocols will be followed, including physical distancing, and everyone must wear a face covering. Participants over the age of 11 must be fully vaccinated to attend these events. Vaccine Certificates will be checked at the door.

Join local author and illustrator Werner Zimmermann for a special festive event in partnership with the Rockwood Library. Hear about his latest collaboration with Helaine Becker called "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and create your own holiday craft following the presentation. Space is limited; please register!

Create your own table top centrepiece to fill the dining room with the intoxicating scent of holiday greens. Perfect for the coffee or dining table. Workshop includes materials and step-by-step demonstration. Additional materials and add on’s are available throughout the workshop including wired lights.

Participants will make their own wreath using a variety of fresh, seasonal greenery. Instructors will provide guidance in your wreath building or you can create your own masterpiece! Space is limited and registration is required.

Emily Richards has a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics specializing in Food and Nutrition. She is a Cookbook Author and she develops and tests recipes for magazines, cookbooks, food companies and grocery stores. Emily enjoys creating and sharing easy recipes with family and friends.
