Highway 7 Watermain Replacement Update – September 9th
The contractor completed a major connection of the new 10 inch watermain to the existing watermain on Highway 7 at Harris Street late yesterday evening. We apologize for any evening disturbances resulting from the later work.
With that connection completed, the two pressure zones have once again been separated and regular operating pressures will be restored this morning to Zone 2 (Noble Ridge/Ridgetop).
Two connections remain to be completed. One at Carroll Street and final major connection at the south limit of the work zone. There may be some minor service disruptions to isolated homes in order to complete the final connections. Notices will be delivered to those directly affected.
Work continues this week on changing over water services within the work zone and some valve repairs. Remaining major connection work will start Monday September 13th.
Once those have been completed, concrete work on curbs and sidewalks will commence.
