This bill reflects the total year's taxes (CVA x current year tax rate less interim billing).
When you look at your tax bill, remember that approximately 21% pays for Township services, with 56% paying for County Services, including policing and waste management and 23% paying for school board services.

making a tax payment
Tax payments can be made by using the following methods:
Pre-Authorized Payment
For your convenience, the Township can make pre-authorized automatic withdrawals from your bank account for tax payments.

Post Dated Cheques
Post-dated cheques, corresponding with the dates on the remittance portions of your tax bill, are accepted and held for deposit as they become due, saving you postage charges and the possibility of missing due dates. Post-dated cheques are payable to the Township of Guelph/Eramosa and can be mailed, delivered in person or dropped in the after-hours drop box.

In Person
You can drop off your payment to the Municipal Office at 8348 Wellington Road 124 (at Brucedale) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
After Hours Drop Box
You can place your cheque in the secure after-hours drop slot located on the left side of the Township Office building.
Internet/Telephone Banking
You can contact your financial institution for remitting property tax payments.
Financial Institution
You can present your original tax installment stub at any bank/financial institution across Ontario to make a payment.
Changing or Updating your Mailing Address
In order to change or update your mailing address, please fill out the Change of Address Request Form or notify the Tax Department in writing of the change and send it to mkeleher@get.on.ca or lsmith@get.on.ca or by mail to:

The Tax Department will then forward the changed addressed information to the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).
