Committee of the Whole facilitates the decision-making process of Council and makes recommendations to Council. The purpose of this Committee to provide a forum for policy debate and public input on issues within Council’s area of responsibility. The Committee of the Whole system provides an opportunity for all Members of Council to participate in the discussions that result in the Committee’s final recommendation to Council.
The Committee of the Whole shall meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. unless otherwise stated. These meetings immediately follow the Council meeting which commences at 1:00 p.m.
