The Township of Guelph/Eramosa’s Municipal Office will Re-Open to the Public on Monday, February 28

ROCKWOOD, Ontario, February 15, 2022 – On Monday, February 28, the Township of Guelph/Eramosa will re-open the Municipal Office, located at 8348 Wellington Road 124, for in-person services. Our regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Services, such as, but not limited to, purchasing a dog tag license, registering for programming, booking a facility and filing a complaint, will continued to be offered online. The public is encouraged to continue taking advantage of the many service delivery options available online as they facilitate quick and efficient transactions.

Patrons are also welcome to drop-in to receive on-demand services, such as paying a tax or water bill, purchasing garbage bags, dropping off plans and/or drawings for building and/or planning applications or applying for a marriage license. Staff will also be happy to assist members of the public in familiarizing themselves and becoming more comfortable with navigating and utilizing the Township’s online services.

Patrons must contact the Township in advance of attending the office to book a mutually convenient date and time to meet with staff to discuss any enforcement, planning and/or building related matters.

The Municipal Office capacity will be limited to permit physical distancing of two metres at all times.

Patrons wishing to visit the Municipal Office must:

  • wear a mask (age 2+)
  • adhere to all other public health measures

“We are very happy to announce the re-opening of the Municipal Office to the public after its Covid closure” said Mayor Chris White.  “I can assure everyone that all appropriate health and safety measures will be in place should you wish to visit the office, however we would also encourage our residents continue to take advantage of our online services, where possible.  I want to thank the public for their patience and understanding as we work through this difficult time.  I also want to thank our Township staff for all their hard work over the course of this pandemic.  I know we all look forward to getting back to “normal” as quickly and safely as possible”.
