Public Works Update – Road Conditions and Operations

Please be advised that Fourth Line is currently closed between Highway 7 and Wellington Road 124 due to downed power lines. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes until the roadway can be safely reopened.

Residents should also be aware that the Township is currently experiencing a shortage of road salt. As a result, crews are applying sand only at this time to maintain traction. The Township was advised prior to the holiday period of a potential salt supply issue and did not receive a scheduled top-up delivery. This shortage is being experienced regionally, with the County also facing limited supply and reallocating remaining salt between municipal yards.
